About Us
We bought our first two heifer calves in July 2004. From there we went on to add several more water buffalo including a bull. We picked them up here and there from people who had bought them and didnt know what to do with them. We kept finding them and buying until we had a herd of about 30 female cows and a bull. At present we have over 80 head counting calves and yearlings. In 2008 we started processing our first animals. It took a lot of studying and work to figure out what were the best cuts, what we had to do to resale our meat and build a customer base. We sell the meat which is processed in Weatherford, TX to the public as well as restaurants in Houston, Alvin & Bay City. Our animals are 100% grassfed. We have been able to raise our animals without the use of hormones or antibiotics. Matagorda County has proved to be an ideal location for raising the Asian water buffalo. They are taken straight from the pasture to the processor, never spending any time on a feed lot.
