The City of Rogers purchased an auto repair shop in 2015 on Cherry Street, and then renovated the space to be home to the new Downtown Rogers Farmers Market, managed by Main Street Rogers (which is now Downtown Rogers Inc.). The market opened its doors on April 30th of 2016. On opening day, the market had over 40 vendors in drive-up bays. The indoor-outdoor facility was unique and vendor friendly. As the renovations on the new Railyard park located between Arkansas and Cherry streets began, the market was temporarily moved to the 120 building on West Poplar St. 2021 brings about more changes for the DTR Market. Beginning in May the DTR Market will be open for business once again. Each Saturday May through October the DTR Market will be set up in the Frisco Plaza at the new Railyard Park bringing foot traffic to downtown businesses and encouraging visitors to spend more time in our beautiful and newly renovated downtown.
